Dramatic moment fireman carries toddler out of burning building in Bangkok

Firefighters carried a toddler who trapped in a burning building to safety in Bangkok, Thailand on December 9.

The emergency services rushed to the site where a five-storey building was engulfed in massive flames.

So many people got stuck inside the burning building and firefighters had to down their hoses and battle through the raging fire to save the people.

Footage from the Poh Tek Tung volunteer rescue foundation shows how one of the firefighters rushed out of a building holding a young boy, believed to be three years old, in his arms.

There were five residents injured by the fire including Saman Chanchueklang, 48, Burmese resident Mom Sen, 55, and the rest were children aged between one and three, who suffered from smoke inhalation.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in around 20 minutes and police are now investigating the case.

Police Captain Wiankaeo Supakarn said: "We will question the residents in this building and check the scene to identify the fire source."
