The beginning of the Dec 10 blizzard in northern Iceland
Iceland got hit by a massive blizzard on December 10. This was filmed by musician Bragi Thor Valsson outside his house in the small village of Holmavik when the wind was starting to really pick up. The winds on the neighbouring mountain road peaked at around 100mph although the village only saw a maximum of around 80 mph.
