A fir tree bought for a baby girl’s first Christmas and planted in a garden by her proud grandparents now stands 30ft tall.

Grandfather Keith Turner bought a tiny potted fir tree from a little local shop on his way home from work on a cold December night in 1990.

It was granddaughter Charlotte's first Christmas, and the little tree took pride of place in the middle of the dining room in Rotherham.

Then ten-month-old Charlotte could barely take her eyes off the twinkling lights and glittering baubles, and the proud pair vowed to never forget the special day.

This video was filmed 11th December 2019.
