Cats are not known for their love of water but one family of felines seems to enjoy riding around a canal on a surfboard.

Their owner, who lives nearby, put her five moggies on the board in Surat Thani in southern Thailand on 30 November.

Footage shows the cats sitting still while the board is dragged around by their owner.

One of the cats even grabbed and ate a fish caught in a net, during the adventure.

Their owner, Wassan, said: "They are very talented. They can ride a surfboard and catch fish."
