When a lion is eating, it is generally not a good idea to get too close, as one tourist in South Africa discovered.

The video shows the big cat eating some raw chicken quite calmly before flexing its muscles and then suddenly leaping at the tourist filming him.

Luckily for the visitor, there was a cage between the two, and the lion quickly returned to his meal.
