A baboon in South Africa did what anyone would do when they need provisions -- it went to the local shop.

Unfortunately it didn't have the means or the inclination to pay, so made off with a bunch of bananas with the shopkeeper in hot pursuit, bashing a stick on the ground to scare the thief away.

The scene was filmed by a couple driving down a street in the small town of Fish Hoek. They appeared to find it rather funnier than the shopkeeper did.

While driving down a street in the small town of Fish Hoek in South Africa, a couple saw a baboon running into a grocery store and started filming while waiting for it to come out. A few seconds later the baboon came running out of the store holding a large bunch of bananas and the store clerk close on its heels brandishing a stick to scare it away. On the video you can hear the excitement in the husband’s voice when he says “bananas - he stole bananas” and the sweet laughter of the wife.
