This was the moment a learner driver in Sheopur City drove their car into a pond after pressing the accelerator pedal rather than the brake on Saturday (December 14).

Footage shows the submerged vehicle in the water while crowds gather to watch the car being retrieved by a digger.

It was reported the driver saw a hut while driving on the road and proceeded to apply the accelerator rather than the brake and subsequently plunged into the drink.

It was reported all three people in the car were able to escape through the window towards safety.

An Amateur driver who was learning car driving pressed escalator instead of applying break and drived into the water pond in Salapur area in Sheopur city . The incident happened on 14th of December . Incident happened when the learning driver saw a hut infront of him whilem driving , he tried to applied brake but mistakenly kicked the escalator and went straight into the water pond. At the time of incident three people were there in the car . All of them came out from the the floating car window and swim towards the bank of the pond .. Some locals informed the police, later the floating car was took out from pond with the help of cranes .
