An Indian school is so short of space students of four different classes share a small room.

Forty five children studying in standards one to four are forced into a small room in the government school near Kadur in Chikmaglur district in South India.

The four teachers sit on chairs in four corners of the room and their students sit on the floor close to them.

As all of them teach simultaneously, students say they struggle to figure out what their respective teachers are saying.

Teachers say they can’t pay attention to their class and hear what the students say in the middle of the din.

Sometimes the classroom gets so noisy villagers, who are passing by, peep in to see what’s happening.

The school, which teaches from class to class seven, has 85 kids, 6 teachers and just 4 class rooms. Once the students enter class five they get the privilege of having their own classroom.

Villagers say they have run behind senior officials to get additional rooms for many years but have failed to get any response from them.
