Tourists in Thailand wade through mud to catch eels with bare hands
Amusing footage shows tourists competing against each other to catch eels by hand in a muddy pond.
They are seen in the video getting wet as they pounce on the slippery creatures at the event in Surin, northeastern Thailand on December 15th.
Footage from the festival shows tourists struggling to catch the slippery creatures.
They were from several countries including Britain, America, Denmark, Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Philippines and Austria.
German resident Patrick Klein was the winner with an impressive haul of seven eels.
