This is the heartbreaking moment a stray dog was taken away from a man who had looked after her.

The white mongrel stray dog has been roaming around in the village in Putrajaya state, Malaysia, where one kind local befriended her by providing meals every day.

Since that day the dog had stayed with him and become well like within the neighbourhood. They named her 'boy' even though she is female.

However, one day ‘Boy’ chased schoolchildren causing one of the parents to complain. Dog wardens then arrived and captured her last Thursday September 19 afternoon.

Dog lover Atiff Aiman, 22, filmed the video when the pooch was carried away and it made him sad.

The college student said: ''She is so adorable and tame, she only chased those children because they bullied her.

"It must be their parents who reported ‘Boy’ to the authorities. They were upset because she scared their children, but they did not teach their children to behave either."

Atiff was told by the authorities that he could bail the dog of for RM100 (19GBP). He said he could not afford the fee but helped other residents organise for the dog to be released.

He said: "Since I am just a college student and my house is just a temporary place, I decided to let other people look after ‘Boy’.

"Luckily, there is a local dog lover who likes her and will take good care of her. We will bail her out together, so I can say goodbye to her knowing she is safe.’’
