One of the reprensentations of the birth of the baby Jesus in El Salvador, is visited daily by hundreds of parishioners in Antiguo Cuscatlán, in the department of La Libertad. Ceramic and clay figures adorn the manger, with images of the Salvadoran countryside as wagons pulled by oxen or peasant women. Other figures such as calves or sheep are part of the decoration of the birth, placed in the central square of the park of that town as part of the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
