Protests against CAA laws outside Indian Consulate in Cape Town
Activists from various organisations across Cape Town gathered outside the Indian Consulate in the Cape Town CBD to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act which was recently passed in India.
The CAA protests have resulted in widespread protests in India and has been widely condemned by organisations and governments around the world.
Rehana Khan Parker, an attorney and chairperson of the recently formed People Against Apartheid & Fascism, spoke to the media on the side of the protest.
The People Against Apartheid & Fascism have been granted permission to lead a march to the Indian Consulate in Cape Town on Thursday 9 January.
