This is the horrifying moment a woman found a live COBRA in her outside toilet.

Supaluck Prangprom, 25, was going to the loo outside her family home in Bangkok, Thailand, on Monday (Jan 6) afternoon.

But luckily, before she sat down, she noticed the dark grey head and beady eyes of the deadly reptile glaring up at her.

The young woman screamed in terror and ran out of the tiny cubicle, slamming the door behind her so it could not escape.

Concerned neighbours gathered round to help and used a rope lasso to grab the head of the monocled cobra - and spent more than ten minutes trying to drag the beast out of the u-bend.

The cobra eventually emerged but it was injured in captured and its head and the top part of its torso were detached.

Supaluck said: ''I'll never use that toilet again. In fact, I'll be very careful every time I use a toilet and always check what's in there.

''When I think about what might have happened if I had sat down on the toilet, it makes me shudder.''

Supaluck's neighbour, Adisak Thanomsil, helped to catch the snake, which was later buried in a nearby field.

He said: ''The cobra could have killed someone if it bit them on the bottom. It's very fortunate that nobody sat on the toilet.''
