This Vietnamese dock worker carries 12 tons of cargo on his shoulders a day
Witness the moment this Vietnamese dock worker uses his superstrong shoulders to transport a reported 12-tons of cargo every day.
The video, from October 28, shows 31-year-old Xuan lift EIGHT packages weighing 25kg each, according to a local source. That total load of 200kg per journey is about two and a half times the weight of a keg of beer. Over the course of a day that means Xuan carries 12 tons of cargo on his shoulders.
Despite the considerable load, Xuan moves nimbly to the boat area situated at a dock located on Lo River in northern Tuyen Quang province.
According to the filmer, Xuan works for a ship owner and his job is to transport goods from trucks to small ships, who then transport the wares via the Lo River to other provinces. Xuan can earn about $30 each day and is one of the best "carriers" in the area, earning him the nickname Carrier Man locally.
