Short cut costs driver £100 fine and 3 penalty points
The A3 at Hook Junction is exit only heading south. If you want to go south you need to head North to Tolworth and join heading south there (2.5 miles)
This driver decided he did not want to drive this extra distance and drove across two solid lined hashed areas to join via the exit junction.
He was reported to the police and was fine £100 and 3 penalty points for his shortcut.
