A resident of May Flower Apartment in Coimbatore, southern India started her new year with a terrifying encounter.

According to the filmer: "As she settled down to use the bathroom, she heard a hissing sound and noticed an angry cobra getting ready to strike with it's hood raised.

"She ran out, locked the toilet from outside and screamed for help. Her family members called a local snake rescuer ‘Snake Ameen,’ who went to the apartment and caught the aggressive six-feet-long snake."

The video, recorded in the early morning of January 1, shows 'Snake Ameen' drag the snake into a bag, to be released later in a nearby forest.

She ran out and locked the toilet from outside and screamed for help. Her family members called a local snake rescuer ‘Snake Ameen,’ who went to the apartment and caught the six-feet-long snake, which was very aggressive.

He then put the snake in a bag and released it later in a nearby forest.

The snake, which lived in a nearby garden, had probably entered the apartment chasing a rodent and slithered into the toilet accidentally. The resident had a lucky escape as the snake was very aggressive.

The footage was recorded in the early morning of January 1, 2020.
