Armed Robbery in Beverly Hills, Beverly Drive

Beverly Hills police spent about three hours Saturday searching before arresting an armed robbery suspect who left one handgun behind but carried another, authorities said. The robbery occurred about 5:35 p.m. in the 300 block of North Canon Drive, between Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. T. West. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s, displayed a handgun and demanded property from a man on the street, said Beverly Hills police Lt. Elizabeth Albanese.
