Thick fog caused a massive 31 vehicle pile-up on a bridge in eastern China, leaving two people injured.

The video, filmed in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province on January 13, shows three cars speeding into the vehicles crumpled together on a bridge blanketed by thick fog.

The visibility in some area was less than two metres and 31 vehicles crashed into each other in around 49 minutes.

Two people suffered injuries and were sent to hospital for treatment. The traffic on the bridge is back to normal.

2020年1月13日上午7时26分至8时15分，泰州长江大道新通扬运河特大桥路段突发团雾，部分区域能见度不足两米，49分钟内先后引发31起追尾碰擦等交通事故，致两人受伤（一人三根肋骨骨折，一人鼻骨骨折）。接到报警后，交警支队立即组织警力赶赴现场进行处置，受伤人员被送往医院救治。上午10时40分，事故勘察处理完毕，交警支队现场出具事故认定书28份，带回处理事故3起，长江大道恢复通车。
