A 16-month-old toddler gives his dad a look of despair after failing to stop his basketball from rolling down a hill in Watertown, Connecticut, on January 15.

Zak was filming his son Jaxon play basketball on their driveway when the ball started slowly rolling towards the hill.

The toddler attempted to stop the ball but it was too late and could only watch as it made its way down the slope.

Zak told Newsflare: "When the ball rolled down the hill he looked really sad, but as soon as I stopped recording he ran down the hill and grabbed it and brought it all the way back.

"I film him all the time because his personality is so adorable. If I take something away from him that he shouldn’t be playing with, like my car keys, he doesn’t spend much time being sad about it he just tries to find a way to get it back. He’s a great motivator honestly. So full of life."
