Cameroon Military attack and burn an entire neighborhood in search of Ambazonia Separatist fighters
Soldiers on Friday, January 17, 2020, moved from house to shop, to pigsty destroying, burning and looting from civilians in Bali Nyonga subdivision in the North West region. The attack came after some members of the Ambazonia non-state armed groups fighting to restore the independence of former British colony, Southern Cameroons, ambush a military truck earlier. At least four persons were reported dead by local media, Mimi Mefo Info and dozen of houses set on fire. The armed conflict in Cameroon's North West and South West region has entered into a twisted stage as both separatists and government forces are now battling to perturb and reinforce security during the February 9, 2020, local elections, respectively.
