Locals on Saturday (January 18th) managed to save goats trapped by flooding and landslides in the Tanah Datar district of West Sumatra, Indonesia.

The owners of the animals were forced to cross floodwaters on foot to reach their village and the stranded animals.

According to local media, the flooding began on Friday (January 17th) morning triggering landslides which badly damaged 12 buildings, including eight homes.

A resident managed to save a goat that since Friday, January 17, 2020 trapped in the location of floods and landslides in Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia.

The goat is still alive, even though its body looks weak.
 
He was discovered on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in a former field that was surrounded by mud and rocks.
To save this goat, residents must cross the floodwaters at the foot of the hill, which is covered in mud and large rocks hundreds of meters long, until finally reaching the village.

Flood or galodo occurred on Friday 17 January 2020, at around 05.00 am. The floods that brought mud and stone material damaged 12 buildings, eight of which were badly damaged residents' homes. The disaster also caused a break in Lake Singkarak's ring road access.
