Heroic police officers jumped into a cold river to rescue a 65-year-old woman drowning in it in northwestern China.

The video, shot in Pingli County in Shaanxi Province on January 17, shows a policeman jumping into the river and swimming to an old woman.

With the help of another policeman, they dragged the elderly woman to safety on the side of the river.

After they fixed the woman to a rescue stretcher, the firefighters on the shore then lifted the woman up together.

The elderly woman was sent to hospital for treatment after she was rescued. She is not in life-threatening condition.

1月17日，刚刚下过雪的平利县，气温持续走低。当天上午12时20分，一位老人不慎落水，有群众发现后第一时间报警。“有人落水了，你们赶紧来啊！”平利县公安局接到群众报警后，第一时间指派巡特警大队赶往救助。
巡特警大队队员李强和何钊，第一时间赶到月湖南路二级电站河边，来不及多想，懂水性的李强和何钊分别从拦河大坝上下跳入河中救人，其他的队员开始联系消防大队和救护车。
他们互相配合，赶紧将老人救至安全地带，并脱下自己的衣物帮老人取暖，并通过按压的方式向老人实施急救。而他们两人已经冷得直哆嗦了！这时，消防大队带着工具也赶到了现场。
最终，在消防人员和警察用救援担架将老人固定好。在岸上群众的齐心协力下，老人被拉上河堤，并立即送往医院进行治疗。
将老人交给医护人员后，李强和何钊手脚已不听使唤，身体抖得厉害，连身上的安全绳都解不开了。队友帮他们解开安全绳，脱掉救生衣，换上棉衣，将他们搀扶上岸。围观的群众心疼不已：“多亏了警察啊。”
经多方联系终于找到老人的家属，了解到老人现年65岁，平利县城关镇老正街人，在二级电站处不慎落水。
因救治及时，目前老人已经脱离生命危险。
