A two-year-old boy got stuck in a steel pot in the Indian state of Odisha on Friday (January 24th) and had to be cut free by firefighters.

The toddler sat down in the metal vessel outside his home in the Cuttack district and became tightly wedged.

The boy's family tried and failed to get him out and so called the fire brigade.

Firefighters used a saw to cut the pot open while taking great care not to hurt the screaming toddler.

A two year old toddler caught in a very awkward situation while playing with a steel pot. The incident was occurred in Banki of Cuttack district of Odisha, India.

After the family members failed to remove the steel pot after much attempts, they desperately called fire brigade for help. The fire personnel reached the spot with no time and started the rescue operation. The steel pot was very carefully cut opened with metal cutter without a scratch to the toddler.

Harekrushna Rout the father of the toddler thanked fire brigade for the safe rescue of his son. He said that while playing on the street in front of his house. Somehow he stepped into a steel pot, (called Gara or Kalasi in the vernacular language that is used to carry water) and got entangled.
