Meghan Cremer’s mother and brother, Jill and Paul Cremer, attended the court appearance of the men accused of murdering Meghan in September last year.

The accused suspects appeared in Athlone Magistrates Court. Meghan’s family travelled from Knysna to attend the court proceedings.

Shiraaz Jaftha, Jeremy Sias and Charles Daniels were arrested in October last year and have been in custody ever since.

Meghan was an avid horse rider and her remains were found close to the smallholding on which she lived in Phillipi.

Sylvia Eddles from SA Women Fight Back, a victim support organisation, said the suspects showed no remorse in court.

Venetia Orgill, a community activist supported the Cremer's in court and stated that the family were so broken and it was the first time the family was able to attend court proceedings.
