Horrifying moment stray dog with its head stuck in a plastic container was found hiding under a crawlspace in the east Indian state of Odisha.

The incident took place on January 27 in Beherasahi locality of Bhubaneswar.

Visuals show the canine whimpering and making high-pitched noises as it hides under a floor of the house.

Next, the rescuers are seen getting down on their knees and trying to rescue the sacred animal.

According to the reports, the rescuers were able to pull out the container after the distressed dog was taken out of its hiding place.

The stray dog had been unable to eat or drink from the past few days.

The concerned locals immediately contacted the animal activist group, who played a big part in the rescue.
