The popular Putkiri Temple in Takeo province, Cambodia near the border of Vietnam, is commonly referred to as "the temple of 84,000 Buddha statues."

Built in 2017, the temple is ever-growing. Now showcasing rows of more than 20,000 Buddha statues, the Zen masters at the temple wish to eventually sculpt 84,000 structures, creating a spectacular place of worship for tourists.

Video footage captured on Sunday (January 26) shows 199 steps to the 10-metre statue towering from the top of the 30-meter hill.

This is a temple called Putkiri Temple, located in Takeo province, Cambodia near the border of Vietnam.
The temple is also known as "The Temple 84,000 Buddha statues". The temple was built in 2017.
The Zen masters at the temple have a wish that they will sculpt 84,000 statues around the temple. The purpose and wish of the people when doing this work is to create a place of worship, prostration and pilgrimage for tourists and this number is gradually becoming a reality. There are now more than 20,000 Buddha statues carved at the temple thanks to the contributions of visitors. In the center of the temple is a Buddha statue about 10 meters high.
The tourists said they were overwhelmed by the beauty of the temple and the huge number of Buddha statues in this temple.
