First winter rally organised in Kargils history to promote winter tourism and national integration in Northern India
The first edition of Kargil Motor Rally organised by Vehicleage Kargil Authorised Dealers of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd . was flagged off from Khree Sultan cho stadium Kargil on the eve of Republic day by Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Sh.Feroz Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Bassier-Ul - Choudhary , SSP. Kargil Dr.Vinod Kumar ,Brigade commander 121- infantry brigade in presence of all district officers ,and a gathering more than 5000 people were present to grace the .
The rally participants hoisted the nation flag at Hambutingla pass-13800 ft, brazing minus25 degrees
This is the first winter rally organised in Kargils history to promote winter tourism and national integration. The three day rally flagged off from Kargil will cover the Batalic sector- Aryan valley, Chiktan valley- choskore-la and will end at tourist facilitation centre Kargil.
Twelve 4x4 SUVs , 25 participants covering 350km in the extreme weather conditions in the toughest Himalayan terrain were more than excited to be part of this winter rally History.
