Management has gathered to decide another auspicious date for opening the famous" Badrinath Temple" after heavy snowfall and avalanche affected the pre-decided date in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The footage was shot on December 18 in the state's Chamoli district.



Visuals show the picturesque scene of the snow-covered rooftops of villages after heavy snowfall.



Footage also shows a massive avalanche rolling down the mountain and burying the excavator machines used for clearing the closed roads.



Despite the cold and plunging temperature, the locals are seen enjoying themselves and taking pictures in front of famous tourist spots.



According to the reports, the heavy snowfall has led to massive avalanches in the northern region of the country.



Reports also state that the temple only remains open for only few months during the year and the temple authorities decide the opening date as per the auspicious time stated in the Hindu calendar.
