People stop traffic to allow massive python to cross the road in northern India
A 20-foot-long python managed to safely cross a busy road in north India as helpful bystanders stopped traffic to allow the reptile to get to the other side.
The incident happened on January 28 on the Delhi to Nepal road via Dudhwa Tiger reserve, Lakhimpur Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh.
Visuals show several commuters standing and watching the immense reptile slither safely across the road.
According to reports, the snake is estimated to be at least 20-feet-long and weigh almost 100kg.
Since it was a giant reptile it took about half an hour for the serpent to cross the road, until then there was a long queue of commuters on both sides of the road.
Reports also say that the locals informed the forest department officials who immediately reached the spot and monitored the area until the python got off the road and went into the forest.
