Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 11th edition of Defence Expo in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The event is being organised in Vrindavan Colony from February 5 to 9 in Lucknow.

The expo showcases a comprehensive spectrum of the country's defence, aerospace and security forces.

The main theme is 'Digital Transformation', an attempt to incorporate technology into defence.

The expo plays a pivotal role in making long term agreements with the country and gives a chance to private and public sectors to display their models.

According to the reports, over 39-member ministerial delegation countries such as Russia, England, and Seychelles, among other countries are expected to take part in the event.
