Light show tribute to Kobe Bryant on the Burj Al Khalifa building in Dubai
The iconic Burj Al Khalifa building in Dubai has paid tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter with this incredible light show.
The skyscraper was lit up with an image of the late basketball star holding his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. They were killed in a helicopter crash in California on January 26.
Basketball fan Jhong Delantar, who attended the event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 2, said the LA Lakes star had been an idol for him and many other Filipinos.
Jhong said: "We drove for 15 minutes from my workplace to see the light show. There are a lot of NBA fans here in Dubai so we are somehow happy we have this venue to relive Kobe Bryant's memories."
Bryant died aged 41 after the helicopter he was travelling in crashed in thick fog in Calabasas. Baseball coach John Altobelli, five other passengers and the pilot were all killed.
