The funny and adorable moment of grumpiness is captured when an elephant in Hwange National Park decides the antelopes are too close to his watering hole and he bellows a trumpeting noise to drive them off on Monday (February 10).

This was hilarious to watch while the kudu antelope jumped around and ran off to a safer distance from the elephant. The male kudus were looking confused and startled. With growling, trumpeting and splashing water, the elephant bull made it clear he was the boss and in charge of the water," said the filmer.

It was late morning during a safari in Hwange National Park when we stopped at a waterhole. It was teeming with life. Various different animal species gathered in great numbers around the water, all in need of a desperate drink. The park is currently suffering one of its worst droughts in history, putting huge pressure on the water supplies and the animals themselves. Elephants are the dominant species of the park and these thirsty creatures dominate all water sources. During the dry periods of the year elephants do not like to share their drinking space or water with other animals. I started filming a bull elephant that was standing in the water. He was attentively staring at a group of beautiful male kudu antelope, approaching the water to drink. I could sense the tension that was building, specially when the bull elephant started with a slow and deep growl sound. The growl noise became louder until the elephant uttered a loud trumpet noise while splashing the antelope with water using his trunk. This was hilarious to watch while the kudu antelope jumped around and ran off to a safer distance from the elephant. The male kudus were looking confused and startled. With growling, trumpeting and splashing water, the elephant bull made it clear he was the boss and in charge of the water. In the end the thirsty kudu antelope eventually managed to get a quick drink after the elephant left.
