Brave Cop swings into action, saves woman from falling under moving train in northern India
A quick-thinking cop pulled a woman out to safety after she fell into the gap between the train and the platform while boarding the Ala Hazrat Express (No.14312) in northern India.
The incident happened at Jaipur station on February 12 as the woman tried to hop on to the moving train.
Surendra Khichad, a constable belonging to Railway Police Force (RPF), was deputed on platform no. 1 of the station when he spotted the unidentified woman dashing towards the moving train.
According to railway authorities, the quick-thinking cop probably pre-empted her move and intuitively inched closer to the platform.
The CCTV footage shows the woman trying to board the train in the same direction as it moves.
The woman tries to step into the footboard, but she couldn’t set her foot properly and rammed her body into the door handle of the train compartment.
Due to the impact of the collision, she lost her balance and her foot got trapped in the gap between train and platform.
In the nick of the moment, the cop appeared like a god-sent helper and pulled her out to safety.
