An 11-year-old gymnast in north India set a world record for performing 153 shoulder pushups in one minute, in a breathtaking display of balance and strength.

Prachi Vishwakarma performed the feat in December 2019, in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The manoeuvre involved her being able to contort her legs over her elbows and lifting her entire body weight with each push, at a blistering rate of 2.55 pushups a second in this record performance.

153 shoulder pushups in 60 seconds by 11-year-old Prachi Vishwakarma wins place Golden Book of World Record in north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in December 2019, in Lucknow city.

The video shows, the girl doing shoulder pushups using just her hands and legs on her shoulder.

According to the reports, the girl has achieved various records held in different places and has also won a gold medal in state-organized championships.

The girl Prachi Vishwakarma, has also won many awards like Nationals in Yoga held in Patiala, Punjab on November 2019, Yoga Book of World Record in July 2019 and Golden Book of World Record in Lucknow, UP December 2019.

Vikas Vishwakarma, the girl's coach says she has been awarded by Anandiben Patel the governor of Uttar Pradesh and Dharam Singh Saini a Minister from the state.
