Green pit viper eats a smaller snake in Bangkok
This is a gruesome moment a green pit viper was seen eating a rival snake.The two reptiles were seen in a family's front yard in Bangkok, central Thailand, on February 3. The video shows the venomous green pit viper, or Trimeresurus albolabris, swallowing a long-tailed rat snake, also called the beauty rat snake, the beauty snake, or the cave racer. Filmer Theerat Navavivasakul said: "At first I thought they were there flirting with each other on the ground but it developed into a crime scene.''Reptile catcher Phinyo Pukphinyo said this was the first time he saw a green pit viper snake attacking the long-tailed rat snake during many years working in Bangkok.
