This is the moment a police officer rescued a female passenger after she slipped while boarding a moving train at Bhubaneswar railway station in eastern India.

The woman fell into the gap between the train and the platform while she was trying to board the Puri-Sambalpur Express (18304) for Dhenkanal.

Subrat Kumar Maharana, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, ran to her and pulled her to the safety of the platform with the help of a few others.

The passenger, Nibedita Sahoo, who teaches at a local college, said: ''Subrat Kumar Maharana saved my life. I am feeling well and do not have any injury.''
