Staff at the Royal Free Hospital in north London are seen going through what an eyewitness claimed is an "assessment area for the coronavirus."

Video fllmed on Tuesday (February 18) shows two people in medical clothing outside a makeshift entrance in a parking area for ambulances. A line of white screening boards are seen nearby. One of the people in the video is wearing a hazmat suit. Both are wearing masks. At one point, one of the medical staffers in the video removes a box of items from a movable trolley.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was very nervous when I discovered a couple of parking bays in the ambulance part of the hospital had been turned in to an assessment area for the coronavirus.

"I could see staff members all dressed up taking precautions. I was that petrified of this, I left after filming. I discovered this by accidentally driving in the wrong entrance."

Earlier this month the hospital was treating three people infected with COVID-19 but all were later discharged.

Royal Free Hospital did not comment and directed queries to the Department of Health.
