A sweet encounter between a young deaf boy with Down Syndrome and a costumed performer was caught on camera at Disney World in Florida.

Five-year-old Caleb, who was adopted from China three-years-ago, was on a trip with his family to the popular attraction on February 14 and saw the performer, dressed as the character "Joy" from the 2015 film "Inside Out".

The performer began signing to him, causing him to reach out for a hug.

His mother, Clarissa Bradford, commented about the heartwarming moment: "We were given an amazing trip to Disney World and this was the most magical experience for him! When she started signing they bonded instantly.

"There was so much more I didn’t catch because I was in awe and in the moment. This joy completely blessed our family."
