Scuffles erupt outside court ahead of hearing in Tazne Van Wyk murder case
Hundreds of gathered outside a Cape Town court on Friday (February 21) ahead of the appearance of Mohhdian Pangarker, the man accused of murdering eight-year-old Tazne Van Wyk.
A brief scuffle broke out outside Goodwood Magistrate’s Court when community members ripped off a section of the court’s palisade fencing. Police fended off the crowd and Voortrekker Road was closed to traffic.
Pangarker appeared briefly in court and the case was postponed to 17 April.
