This is the heartwarming moment a college student rescued a stray dog from a lake on campus.

Footage was taken by Areeya from January 6 when a group of her friends was walking by the campus pond in Loei, northeastern Thailand. Mind, a girl in a red shirt, helping a floating dog get out off the pond.

Areeya said that the dog could not reach the lake shore, so Mind then decided to help the mutt out.

She said: "We forgot that the dog could not hold the rope by its paws. Mind then took her shoes off and rolled her pants up, throwing a nearby garden rope onto the lake and finally she saved the dog's life."
