Wildfires continue raging in Thailand as PM orders water to be dumped by air
Footage shows the thick smoke from wildfires which have been spreading for six days in southern Thailand as the country's PM ordered the use of water bombs from aircraft.
The blaze on the Khao Banthat mountain range in Trat province started last week causing chronic levels of smog to blanket the area.
Fire crews have struggle to reach the fire due to large numbers of undiscovered landmines that were dropped by US forces in the Vietnam war.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has now ordered the use of water-bombing aircraft to put out the fire.
Trat Governor Pichien Limwangyu will now coordinate with fire crews on the ground and planes being sent to try and douse the inferno.
