YouTube makeup artist Stephanie Stokkvik transforms herself into Ariel from Disney's classic "The Little Mermaid."

The video, filmed on December 15, demonstrates the art and talent it takes to transform into a fictional character.

"In the transformation, I'm using makeup techniques to get big cartoon-like eyes and to try to achieve Ariels features because the little mermaid is my favourite Disney movie, I also decided to recreate some of the scenes from the animated film."

Stokkvik, originally from Oslo, Norway, is based in London and has worked as a makeup artist in the fashion industry with celebrities such as Sophie Turner and Dan Smith from rock band Bastille, amongst others.

This video includes an Ariel The Little Mermaid makeup tutorial, recreated scenes from the original Disney 1989 animated movie and some bloopers at the end.

Because the little mermaid is my favourite Disney movie, I decided to recreate some of the scenes from the animated movie. It was self funded and took me about three months to do, so took a lot of time and effort but was so much fun to make!
