A hungry eagle stopped by a lawyer's office to feast on pieces of KFC.

The red-backed sea eagle swooped onto the concrete garden furniture in Trang, southern Thailand last Friday (21 Feb) evening.

Local lawyer Khun Jennarong was leaving for the day when he noticed the bird of prey, also called a Brahminy kite, scratching around for snacks.

The barrister was looking forward to driving home with his box of Kentucky Fried Chicken but decided to give it to the bird instead.

He filmed as the eagle quickly devoured the pieces of meat.

Jennarong believes the bird, which normally feeds of dead fish, may have flew from nearby forests in search of alternative food.

He said: "I think he really liked the KFC I gave him. It's probably the tastiest snack he's ever had.

"After I had fed the eagle, he flew away. I haven't seen him again since. I hope we was not lost and could fly back home safely.''

They red-backed sea eagle is found in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

They thrive on coastal area and in inland wetlands where they feed on dead fish and other prey. Adults have a reddish brown plumage and a contrasting white head and breast.
