Swans dominate flooded field in Castleford
Wildfowl take over a field in Castleford, after becoming flooded in the recent Storms Ciara and Dennis. The field is an ex rugby pitch that lies next to the River Calder, but due to the constant flooding of the pitch, the goal posts have been removed and situated to a new pitch nearby.
The floods have brought along wildfowl such as Mute Swans and Canada Geese and due to the proximity to housing, the birds are being fed by locals.
