A Japanese couple married adhering to Hindu customs in the west Indian state of Gujarat.

The incident took place at Arsha Sanskriti Tirtha Ashram in Porbandar on February 27, 2020.

The ashram is known for partaking knowledge on various ancient Hindu texts like Puranas, Vedas, Upanishads to visitors from abroad.

According to the reports, Japan-based bride Chiori and groom Kazuye fell in love with Indian culture and later decided to get married following Vedic Hindu traditions.

The video shows people leading the couple to the wedding venue, where they are supposed to get married on a bullock cart.

The couple was dressed in traditional Indian wedding attires.

Subsequently, the video shows the Japanese pair getting married in the ashram following the Hindu rituals and customs.

The ceremony was attended by several local villagers and administrators of the ashram along with 40 Japanese guests.
