This is the terrifying moment a snake catcher in Indonesia removed a 10-foot-long king cobra and its 40 eggs.

In footage filmed on Sunday and Monday (March 1-2) in Agam district, West Sumatra province, Indonesia the rescuers come face to face with the reptile troubling residents.

Evacuation took place quickly and rescuers are seen place the eggs into a sack.

"We expect it to be around 4-years-old, male sex, 10-feet-long," said Waldi, B-Reptanic officer.

Cobras and other snakes have increasingly been found lurking in residential areas in Indonesia, the Jakarta Post reported last December, heightening public fears.

In footage filmed on Sunday and Monday (March 1-2) in Agam district, West Sumatra province, Waldi the rescuers from the B-Reptanic looking for snakes that troubling residents.

Waldi saw the snake among the bamboo clumps and after confirming it was a type of king cobra, he approached for rescue efforts.

Rescuer has touched the snake's neck and head with a hook to test the snake reaction, but when he gets closer to the snake it makes the snake retreat and disappear into the bamboo clumps.

According to Waldi, the snake was first discovered the day before when a resident who wanted to cut bamboo saw a jumbo snake circling.

Shocked by the discovery, the next day residents reported to B-Reptanic. The first day the search for king cobra escaped, and officers found about 40 eggs.

The next day the residents reported back seeing king cobra in the same place. Officers from B-Reptanic returned to the location to catch the snake.

Evacuation took place quickly as the snake didn't provide significant resistance and the experience of the officers subjected the king cobra.

"We expect to be around 4 years old, male sex, 10 feet long," said Waldi, B-Reptanic officer.

Officers put the king cobra into a sack brought to his base and then quarantined, because there is a body part of the king cobra injured because previously residents shot snakes with air guns.

Residents are still worried because there is still another king cobra who is suspected to be a captured king cobra pair who roam the bamboo clump. "If residents see snakes again, immediately report to us," Waldi told residents.
