Crowd cheers as determined elephant in India finally plucks food from tree
Crowds watching on cheer as a determined elephant in India finally manages to pluck jackfruit from a tree in July 2019.
This curious elephant on their hunt for food was tempted by the jackfruit tree and tried to reach the goods found at the treetop but couldn't quite reach.
Instead of giving up, the elephant lifted its forelimbs to reach to the branches and deftly plucked a jackfruit.
Wildlife conservation expert Vadivel N said: “Elephants are remarkably agile, they can reach out and pluck fruits from trees.”
“It should also be noted that this elephant was unable to find enough food in the forest, which is shrinking due to human intervention. Hunger had forced it to step into human areas looking for food. We have to preserve forests to stop this” he added.
