Strange pond in Indonesia baffles authorities when water turns white as milk
The pond located in Songkolo Hamlet, Cambaya Neighborhood, Bontomanai Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, suddenly became a conversation and viral on social media.
That's because of the unique phenomenon that occurs because the pool water is not clear as usual, but white as milk.
According to Siti Rohani Dg Pa'ja, the owner of a pond, Saturday, March 7, 2020, the appearance of white water like milk occurred two months ago.
At that time, he said, he asked pool workers to drill the ground around the pond to get water.
He himself did not know why the water that emerged from the ground was white. Even so, the water still flowed into his pool to be used for bathing and playing with children.
Even so, the owner does not advise residents to consume the water.
Some residents claimed to be surprised by the phenomenon of water like milk. Even some residents had time to drink water that he took directly from the flowing hose.
