Passers-by on a busy road had a narrow escape after a sixty-year-old two-storey building collapsed in Hisar in North India on March 12.

CCTV footage from Balsamand Road shows people passing through the busy street as the building collapses with a loud sound.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident though many cars and pedestrians had passed by the building just a few seconds before the collapse.

Local residents said many shops operated from the ground floor of the building. But as it was just 10 in the morning only one shop was open and its owner also had stepped out fortunately.

A family lived on the first floor of the building, but the house was also empty as all the members had left the home on work.

A shopkeeper Rahul Sood said: “If the building had collapsed after one hour it would have been catastrophic. It was a lucky escape for all.”
