A Spanish cyclist on a world tour was denied hotel rooms in northeast India due to COVID-19 fears.

Pablu Alberto Fernandez Garcia reached Silchar on Thursday (March 12) but was denied entry from any local hotels.

Garcia later reached a police station where the managed to organise a room for him at the government circuit house.

According to the reports, the Spanish cyclist identified as Pablu Alberto Fernandez Garcia reached Silchar Cachar Assamfrom Meghalaya on Thursday and searched for a hotel to spend a night here. But, all hotels denied room.

Later he reached police station and the police managed to get him a room at the government circuit house.
